Regional Species

A very scarce species associated with Sand Couch (Elytrigia juncea), a grass that grows on beaches, usually in front of the first sand dunes. Known from scattered localities along the north coast of Wales and a few sites on the Anglesey coast. There is also an unconfirmed report from a beach near Llwyngwril and it is quite possible that the species may eventually be confirmed for Cardigan Bay.
